Walter Reed Toy Drive & Party

Preparations have begun and a few volunteers and toys are needed for the children’s holiday party at Walter Reed National Medical Center USO on Dec. 14, according to Christine Peterson.  PWRC held a toy drive during the summer to help ensure the pediatric cancer patients’ toy box was full year-round.  

If you’d like to contribute toys for the holiday party, please contact Donna Pennington at wdgdsp@gmail.com to arrange a drop-off or Rita Beck at rita.beck@verizon.net to arrange a pick-up no later than Dec. 12. 

There is no limit on what type toys or ages, but gifts should be new and unwrapped. The Marines will wrap them and put a note for girl or boy and age range.  Santa will be taking some of the toys to the ward for children too sick to attend the party. To volunteer, contact christine.peterson@nasa.gov
